IMPORTANT VISITOR INFOTake only photos. Leave only footsteps.

Welcome to Knepp Wildland, where nature reigns supreme. As the proud owners of Tips Tree Planting, we believe in preserving the natural beauty of woodlands and the vital role they play in supporting biodiversity. When you step into Knepp Wildland, you’ll be immersed in a breathtaking landscape that invites you to explore the wonders of the natural world.

The Bund: Enhancing Biodiversity Alongside the A24

In our ongoing efforts to promote biodiversity, our team at Tips Tree Planting has planted over 600 trees in The Bund area of Knepp Wildland. This particular region, running parallel to the A24, serves as a crucial wildlife corridor. By introducing species such as Alder Buckthorn, Hazel, Oak, and Wild Cherry, we aim to create a thriving habitat that supports a diverse range of flora and fauna.

Excitingly, starting from 2021, a public footpath is scheduled to run through this area, granting everyone access to this natural wonder. However, for the safety of both visitors and the woodland, we kindly request that you stay on the designated footpath during your visit.

Along the River Adur: Protecting the Heart of the Estate

Nature is at its most enchanting alongside the River Adur, which meanders through Knepp Wildland. In collaboration with the Ouse & Adur Rivers Trust, we’ve planted over 1000 trees along the riverbanks since January 2019. This initiative not only beautifies the area but also stabilizes the riverbanks and provides shade for the fish that call the river home.

To behold this stunning transformation, head to the public footpath off Swallows Lane, which leads you to a footbridge spanning the river. Please note that for your safety, we ask visitors to remain on the public footpath, as the newly planted trees are protected by fencing to deter deer.
