Let’s Sew Some Trees!

Now, let’s talk about sewing the acacia trees. We’ll be creating five unique trees using various fabrics. Below are my fabric choices, but feel free to use your own creative combinations:

Acacia tree no. 1 (top center of the quilt):

  • Avocado green (background)
  • Pink (tree trunk)
  • Light green (tree top)

  • Bright pink (background)
  • Dark brown (trunk)
  • Avocado green (crown)

Now that we have our fabrics ready, it’s time to sew! Follow the pattern and cut out the segments for your trees. Lay them out as shown in the overview before sewing.

Start sewing the segments together in the order that feels easiest to you. Take it step by step, starting with the simplest segments and gradually working your way through. The acacia tree block is straightforward, making it a joy to sew.

Once you’ve sewn all the segments, follow the pattern instructions to join them together. And voilà, c’est fini … bravo! Look at all those beautiful acacia trees providing refreshing shade.
